Célé.
This is a wonderful, complete canoe and kayak guide to the Lot
River/Canal and Célé River system.
Unlike the ÉDB Waterways Guides series (see our French Canals web page) it is written and available only in
French. Fear not, speakers of only languages other than French! The book's icons are
extremely clear and descriptive. A canoeist or kayaker can easily use the Guide
découverte with a minimum knowledge of French.
Included in the text are chapters on Tour Preparation, Icon
Descriptions/Definitions, Lexicon of Terms, Security and Safety Considerations, Tourism
Agency contact information, and the Canoeist/Kayaks Code of Conduct. The inside back cover
serves as quick reference Légende. (Yes, Legend. See! You can
understand French!)

This Guide is the fifth edition of a canoe/kayak guide to the
Lot River that was originally written in 1920. Lot et Célé was expertly
prepared with the Lot Valley Association.

Guide. Please note that the scanned photo is not as clear as the printed book.
The 82 maps in the Guide cover a distance of from 8 km. to 20
km. with the average being about 11 km. For Americans that is about 5 mi. to 12 mi. with
the average being 7 mi. Wonderful detail!
